Today Koen had to get his tonsils out. It was a really hard day for all of us. We took him to the Surgical Center and he was so excited. We went back in the room where the nurses and doctors talk to you about what is going to happen for the day. Koen was really excited to ride in the wagon, until he found out that nobody was able to go with him. He was such a trooper. The doctor said that he didn't cry but was a little nervous when they got back in the room where they give him the anesthesia. The surgery went great. After the surgery was over he was very groggy and tearful. About three hours later we were able to take him home. He has been doing great at home. He has had an appetite and is drinking a ton of fluids. He even wanted to have pizza. We made sure we cut it up very small. You know when the pain medication has worn off because he gets a little grumpy. He was such a little trooper today.

Aren't You Ladies Jealous
I know that all of you ladies are going to be so jealous. The taxidermist called and said that KC's deer head was done and boy was I excited. KC gets one room in our whole house for his beautiful taxidermy. He is so excited to hang it on the wall. I am a bit depressed about it. He keeps trying to sneak his wildlife into my other rooms but it just doesn't go with my decor. I will let him decorate our garage.
My brother lives in Jackson Hole, WY and he gave my dad some elk antlers. Now that I know I can give taxidermy for a gift, I will always have something great on hand.

Hair Cuts From Hell
Koen hates hair cuts. You would think that we have done it enough we wouldn't have tears, chasing around the house and trying to keep him from jumping out of the tub. It is kind of like giving a dog a bath. However, I tempted him with candy hearts while my mom did the hair cutting. After it was all over he was fine. He looks totally darling with hair cut short. I should just let his hair grow into dreads. It would sure be a lot easier.

The Top Ten Things I'm Thankful For!
I love my life. It totally rocks. I couldn't even think of something in it that sucks. I just want to take a minute and tell you about some of the things I am greatful for:
1. My two darling kids (Koen and Kelcey). Life wouldn't be the same without their smiles, kisses, and cuddles.
2. The love of my life, KC. I still think he is such a "hottie." He knows what to do when I am sad, mad, happy and even when I am hungry. :) I can talk to him about everything. We have so much fun together all the time.
3. Family - We couldn't do it without them. They mean the world to us. Especially my mom. I don't tell her thank you enough. She is awesome and I love her.
4. Friends - Our friends are the best. They will help us anytime we need them. They are so funny. We love going to dinner, gambling money we don't have in Wendover, borrowing their trailer, helping me when I have a flat tire, and drinking the best margaritas ever.
5. Health - I love to run and workout. I am so blessed for my good health as well as my families great health. Hopefully, I will be as lucky as my Nonna and watch my children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow up.
6. Jobs - During these economic times I am so thankful to have our jobs. I hear stories of people who are losing their jobs. Both KC and I love our jobs and would hate to ever lose them.
7. Change - Change is always good and great things come from change. If everything stayed the same, oh how different our lives would be.
8. My dog Cooper. KC has trained the best dog. She is so sweet and cute. We love her. (No, she is not an inside dog.)
9. Faith - I am Catholic and go to church at St. Florence. I haven't been in awhile but I am going to start going regularly. I want Koen & Kelcey to have a spiritual direction.
10. Clothes - This is so vain, but I love shopping for clothes. I love the way you feel in a brand new outfit.

Super Bowl
I just want to say that KC and I are not football fans. However, if you had been to our house tonight you would have thought we loved the Arizona Cardinals. We wanted them to win so bad tonight and boy were they close. I thought for a second that they were going to pull it off. I kept having to pause the game when I had to bath the kids and and put them down for bed. I sure wish the Cardinals could have pulled it off.
Picture Day
I decided that today was going to be picture day. I took Kelcey and Koen to Kiddie Kandids. I was on top of it and even made an appointment for 12:00 pm. I got there on time but my luck, they didn't even open up until 12:30 pm. Trying to keep a 3 year old in a stroller for more than 5 minutes is hard enough. My mom took Koen down to play on the germ infested toys that are in the mall. Finally, the manager decided to arrive and the pictures began. We started with Koen and got some cute shots. Then it was Kelcey's turn and she did fine. Tried to get my kids together and that was not going to work. I even tried to bribe Koen with a ride on the rocket but he was done for the day.
Next we were going to pick out the pictures. When we sit down and start going through them, the photographer deleted Koen's picture. He then had to go back and get his picture taken again. He was very good and this time got a ride on the rocket. We got some cute pictures. The process of getting pictures taken is so stressful but, worth it in the end.
